It has always been one of the good molds.
Always a step ahead of the others.
Always carrying with it the potential to be great.

Cebu City is in all its essence, a wonderful prestige. To learn the ways of life, to be born and raised here is something I have to be grateful for.
This time, let me take you to the whys.

If you want a taste of Spanish, the Queen City of the South has not lost its taste. There are a number of significant Spanish colonial buildings in Cebu City. Let's go take a look:

Basilica Minore del Santo Nino
The Basilica is a place of pilgrimage and prayer, flocked with visitors  every day of the year, each carrying their own prayers. The Santo Nino is said to be miraculous and a handful of people can attest to this.

                                                   Magellan's Cross

Close to 500 years ago, Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan planted a huge Christian cross in Sugbu (now Cebu) to celebrate the baptism into the Roman Catholic religion of island chief Rajah Humabon, his wife, and some 500 of their followers on April 21, 1521.

Fuerza de San Pedro
is a military defence structure, built by Spanish and indigenous Cebuano labourers under the command of Spanish conquistador, Miguel Lopez de Legaspi and the Spanish Government in Cebu. The fort is triangular in shape, with two sides facing the sea and the third side fronting the land. The two sides facing the sea were defended with artillery and the front with a strong palisade made of wood.

The cannon

Fuerza San Pedro, the fort is described as built of stone mortar with a terraplein where guns are mounted. The fort contains the necessary buildings. The largest of these buildings was the "Cuerpo de Guardia" where the personnel that manned the fort lived. Adjacent to it was the "Vivende del Teniente" which was the living quarters of the lieutenant of the Fort. In between the aforementioned buildings is a well. At one corner attached to the walls of the bastion San Miguel (NE) was the "Alamazaros del Rivera" (powder magazine where the fort's supply or arms and gunpowder from Manila were stored). --General Tanon
